Woven in Wa

Collaborations

The Nubuke Foundation and the Woven in Wa living archive aspires to bring together designers and weavers in ongoing collaborative projects. So far the weavers profiled here have worked with Assemble, Chrissa Amuah of AMWA Designs and Nana Opoku of House of Stole. The initial prototypes were presented at the 2022 Woori Festival in Wa.

Collaborators

Nana Opoku

I'm a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Tema, Ghana, experimenting across the full scope of digital and analog media.

My process is quite spontaneous and intuitive, resulting in imagery that is often surreal, otherworldly and afrofuturist.

My work and my worlds are extensions of my fascination with oneness, meditation and play, and I revel in the mystical quality of what I do.
